What calculators are allowed on the AP® math and science exams?

TI offers the following approved calculators for AP® exams:

  • TI-83 Plus graphing calculator
  • TI-84 Plus graphing calculator
  • TI-84 Plus CE graphing calculator
  • TI-84 Plus CE Python graphing calculator
  • TI-Nspire™ CX graphing calculator
  • TI-Nspire™ CX II graphing calculator
  • TI-Nspire™ CX CAS graphing calculator
  • TI-Nspire™ CX II CAS graphing calculator
  • TI-89 Titanium graphing calculator

All TI scientific and four-function calculators are approved except where marked.

Calculators are only allowed on the following AP® exams:

Calculators are not allowed for any other AP® exams, including Computer Science A and Computer Science Principles, unless a student has an approved accommodation for use on a four-function calculator.

* A four-function calculator is allowed on the Chemistry exam, but not recommended.
** For the Environmental Science exam, four-function must have square root capabilities.
† For the Statistics exam, all calculators are permitted if they have the required statistics computational capabilities described in the AP Statistics Course and Exam Description.
